More Like the Lord

Today I read Proverbs 3, 4, and part of 5 and 2 Corinthians 3. My favorite verses were:

Proverbs 4:24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

If I think of the Proverbs reference speaking to me today, it says to be careful what kind of things I say in my Blog and Facebook. Writing and publishing hateful things may even be worse than saying them. Thank God for the reminder in Paul’s letter that we are being changed to be more like the Lord day by day.

I am looking forward to a very special evening; I am driving to Conway to attend the Starvy Creek Bluegrass Festival. I will be listening to some outstanding, uplifting music from Dailey & Vincent and three other groups. Hope, eat your heart out!—You know I love you and wish you were going too—it’s good to be retired.
