Relationships

Today I read Proverbs 10 and 11 and I finished 2 Corinthians 6 and read 7. My favorite verses are:

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

2 Corinthians 7:13 Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.

These verses speak of relationships. It is important that Christians witness to the lost that souls might be saved, and it is important for Christians to comfort and refresh other Christians. We share the joy as we serve God together with a common purpose—to bring glory to Him. Then right back to the verse from Proverbs; there is no greater joy for a Christian than to see a lost person receive salvation.

During our worship service at Fremont Hills Baptist church today, Pastor Art and his wife Ronna gave each of us a “prayer marble”. It is simply a normal marble which we can carry in a pocket or purse to remind us to pray. It needs to be easily accessible and each time we touch or see it, we are reminded to pray for the lost, the sick, or whatever special prayer need we have within the church family—it keeps us in closer contact with Jesus. The marbles are also good to use as a witnessing tool; if you pull one out of your pocket or purse with change or with keys and other people see it, someone is bound to ask about it. It gives you a chance to tell them how important Jesus is in your life and how you uplift others in prayer to Him. And don’t hesitate to give it away and get another one later to replace it.

I shared lunch and fellowship with my sister and extended family this afternoon, and now I am getting ready to go back to church for evening services. God is Good.
